Doiron Snaps Skid in VoteReady.com Oktoberfest 150 at Lee USA

McKennedy and Brackett Take Modified Wins while Battle Secures NESS Title

Lee, New Hampshire — October 19, 2026 — Berwick, Maine’s Joey Doiron finally got off the schneid with his first win of the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) 150 on Saturday, October 17 at New Hampshire’s Lee USA Speedway. Doiron took the lead for good on a lap-102 restart and pulled away down the stretch to win the VoteReady.com Oktoberfest 150.

In the process, Doiron became the first repeat winner in PASS’s 14 visits to “New Hampshire’s Center of Speed.” Doiron also won at the facility in PASS competition in 2021.

Ben Tinker led the 27-car field to the initial green flag but immediately surrendered the top spot to Travis Stearns. After pacing the event for the first eight circuits, it was Stearns’ turn to give up the point as Doiron took over from his third starting position.

Doiron held the lead through multiple early cautions, including a lap-12 skirmish in turn three that sidelined J.P. Josiasse and Pat Corbett while collecting Gabe Brown and Gabe Brown. The event took another dramatic turn on lap 18 when Eddie MacDonald and Jimmy Renfrew Jr. got together out of turn four while fighting for fourth.

Renfrew, who was gunning for his third straight PASS North victory, spun to the infield and clipped the pit wall but was able to continue. Shortly afterward, though, Brown pulled into the pits with a mechanical failure that eliminated the points runner-up from competition.

Doiron was soon faced by two new challengers. MacDonald grabbed the lead on a lap-42 restart following Frankie Eldredge’s spin, then kept it through two more yellows, including when Mike Mitchell smacked the turn two wall. As MacDonald and Renfrew diced it out, Trevor Sanborn entered the fray, swiping the lead on lap 73 after coming from 11th on the grid.

The number-three point driver began walking away in pursuit of victory as Doiron took second back from MacDonald and Renfrew rejoined the picture. It wasn’t to be for Sanborn, though, as Griffith got turned around again on lap 102 to bring out the final caution flag.

Doiron got the jump on the restart to recapture the lead with Renfrew following him around for second. But Renfrew, who at this point also had a pushed-in hood, couldn’t do anything with Doiron down the stretch.

Sanborn completed the podium, followed by MacDonald and Alexendre Tardif. Point leader D.J. finished a quiet sixth, taking advantage of Brown’s misfortune. Ryan Kuhn, Bobby Baillargeon, Kaiden Fisher, and Corey Bubar rounded out the top 10.

The New England Supermodified Series (NESS season finale saw Chelmsford, Massachusetts’ Jon McKennedy take down the VoteReady.com Oktoberfest 50 in a barnburner. McKennedy steadily climbed from 10th in the 16-car field and was running second to point leader Jeffrey Battle when Mike Keddy spun in turn one with seven laps to go.

On the restart, McKennedy got the jump from the outside to assume the lead, only for another quick caution to fly when Keith Morrill went around in turn three. This set up a five-lap shootout with McKennedy and Battle swapping lanes. A breathtaking fight followed, as the two masters raced within inches of each other without ever leaving a mark.

When the final lap started, it was too close to call between the duo. The shorter way around finally paid off for McKennedy, though, as he edged Battle at the finish to nail down his third win of the year.

Battle’s second-place effort was more than enough to claim his second straight NESS championship. Derek Griffith passed P.J. Stergios on the last restart to claim third. Fifth through tenth went to Dan Bowes, Russ Wood, Eddie Witkum, Tyler Thompson, Morrill, and Mark MacIver.

Auburn, Maine’s Thomas Brackett pulled off a monumental upset to claim the VoteReady.com 50 for the Kennebec Equipment Rental PASS Modifieds. The rookie started on the outside pole alongside point leader Jacoby Maines, and after a pair of quick yellows, Brackett surprised everyone by getting the upper hand.

Jeremy Davis then grabbed the second spot and chased Brackett around the 3/8-mile oval lap after lap, unable to find a way around him. Brackett, who had never had a top five finish in the PASS Modifieds before Saturday, seemed on his way in the closing circuits.

But on the last lap, the leaders caught the lapped car of Tom Harwood, and that gave Davis an opportunity to get underneath Brackett down the backstretch. Brackett, though, was not to be denied. The rookie matted the throttle out of the final corner, ricocheted off the frontstretch wall, and slid across the finish line just 0.057 seconds ahead of Davis.

Maines took home third, strengthening his point lead heading into the season finale. Spencer Morse, Bill Penfold, Tyler Connolly, Chanler Harrison, Jaxson Moreside, Cody Macomber, and Harwood completed the top 10.
