At Hickory |
HICKORY, NC
(November 10) - Derek
Ramstrom took the lead for
the final time with just
over 30 laps to go and led
the rest of the way to claim
his first career Pro All
Stars Series (PASS) South
Super Late Model win
Saturday afternoon at
Hickory Motor Speedway in
the Mason-Dixon MegaMeltdown
200. While Ramstrom took the
win, Derek Griffith finished
second to capture the PASS
National Championship Super
Late Model title and third
place finisher Matt Craig
took his third straight PASS
South championship.
"This is just awesome for
us, we've been coming down
here ever since 2006 and
we've finally gotten us a
win down south," said
Ramstrom. "Hickory is a
great place to come to and
reminds us of a lot of the
tracks back home in New
England. We came with a
totally different package
this time and I just can't
say enough for all the guys
and the work they put in to
give us such a great car."

South
Slugfest At South Boston |
SOUTH BOSTON, VA
(August 11) - Georgia's
Bubba Pollard came back from
a late spin to take the win
in Saturday night's
Davenport Energy 150 at
South Boston Speedway for
the Pro All Stars Series
(PASS) South Super Late
Models. Pollard's 2nd career
PASS South win locks him in
to the 45th Annual Clark's
Scrap Metal Oxford 250 at
Oxford Plains Speedway
coming up in two weeks.
"That's how you do it
right there, that's how we
do it in the south," said
Pollard, after a hard fought
battle with runner-up Lucas
Jones. "We didn't have a
very good car when we
started the race, we didn't
have a shot to win and we
had to take a gamble and pit
to make it right. Getting
locked in to Oxford is huge,
it's big. Oxford is gonna be
a tough field, those guys
are good. We've been working
hard all year to try and
make that our race to focus
on, so I hope we can do it."
For the third straight
race this year, the track
qualifying record was broken
in qualifying. Rookie Logan
Seavey set the fast time
with a lap of 14.298 seconds
(100.713 MPH). After the top
10 qualifiers redraw, Seavey
would move all the way back
to the ninth starting
position, while Austin
Thaxton and Brandon Setzer
would move up to the front
row.

Wallace Fends
Off Burton For Wild Win In
Old Glory 125 |
MIDLAND, NC (May 25)
- Matt Wallace prevailed
over Harrison Burton after a
torrid battle through the
last 20 laps to win the Old
Glory 125 Friday night for
the Pro All Stars Series
(PASS) South Super Late
Models. Wallace's dramatic
victory was his first
triumph in a PASS South
Super Late Model.
"I
don't know how we did it
tonight, the 12 car [Burton]
is definitely one to beat
right now, they're the best
short track car in the
country basically," said
Wallace, after climbing from
the Unkers Theraputic
Products Chevrolet in
victory lane. "It's truly an
honor to race side-by-side
with these guys and win.
There was actually a lot of
momentum up on the outside
and my dad kept me pumped
up. This is awesome."

SETZER - PELTIER - LEE |
Preston Peltier Powers
To 5th Easter Bunny 150
Victory |
HICKORY, NC (March 31) -
Preston Peltier survived a
second half duel with local
favorite Shane Lee to claim
the victory in the 13th
Annual Easter Bunny 150
Presented By
MyComputerCareer.edu
Saturday night at Hickory
Motor Speedway. Peltier's
fifth Easter Bunny 150
triumph pushed his overall
Pro All Stars Series (PASS)
South Super Late Model win
total to 16, the most of any
driver in series history.
"To be honest, the
car was really fast on a
short run, but the whole
setup was a little too stiff
and I thought we had messed
up," said Peltier, who
hauled his machine from
Colorado where he now lives.
"This place is just
incredible, I've never felt
it have this much grip
before. This is the first
race my daughter, Jocelyn,
has been at, she's only
eight weeks old, and I know
where this Easter Bunny's
going, that's for sure."

Powers to 3rd Straight
PASS South Win at Caraway |
SOPHIA, NC (March
18) - Matt Craig led
flag-to-flag Sunday
afternoon to score his third
straight Pro All Stars
Series (PASS) South Super
Late Model win at Caraway
Speedway in the RGS Products
125. Craig's win moves him
to fourth on the all-time
PASS South winners' list,
just one win behind Jay
Fogleman.
In
qualifying, Tate Fogleman
bested Brandon Setzer for
his second quick qualifying
time of the season with a
lap of 16.473 seconds
(99.435 MPH). But, the top
10 qualifiers redraw would
not be kind to Fogleman,
moving him back to the ninth
starting position, while
fellow championship
contenders, Craig and Kodie
Conner, would move to the
front row for the start.
At the drop of the green
flag, Craig would quickly
move to the point, while
Fogleman was dicing his way
up through the field. The
first caution of the day
would wave on lap 14 for a
solo spin by rookie Charles
Barnes in turn four.

a strong field of Pro All

Late Models to win the 13th
Annual South Carolina Clash
200 Saturday afternoon at
Dillon Motor Speedway. While
Griffith has found victory
lane on the PASS North
circuit in the past,
Saturday's opening day win
was his first in the south
in PASS National
Championship competition.
"We knew we had to do
better here than we did last
year and we were able to put
it all together today to get
the win," said Griffith in
victory lane. "The track was
hot and slick, but this win
is big because we need to
get all we can to compete

Meltdown At Hickory Fill Out
Remainder Of Championship
Schedule.
NAPLES, ME (January 26)
- Pro All Stars Series
(PASS) officials have
released the six dates and
locations that will make up
the 11th Annual PASS
National Championship
Series. The schedule is
comprised of six premier
Super Late Model events, at
a diverse group of tracks in
both PASS North and PASS
South, that will determine
an overall PASS National
Champion. The PASS National
Championship Series will see
the champion crowned in the
final race of the 2018
season at Hickory Motor
Speedway in the 13th Annual
Mason-Dixon Meltdown 200.
And, for the first time
ever, the PASS National
Championship Series will
visit Richmond Raceway in
Virginia to headline the
inaugural Commonwealth
Classic on October 19-20.
Additionally, the Spring's
most prestigious short track
race in the country, the
13th Annual Easter Bunny 150
at Hickory Motor Speedway,
will now see the top three
finishers get guaranteed
starting spots, not only for
the 45th Annual Oxford 250
at Oxford Plains Speedway,
but also for the
Commonwealth Classic at
Richmond.
Since
2008, some of the best short
track racers in North
America have captured the
PASS National Championship
including Cassius Clark, Ben
Rowe, Preston Peltier, Jay
Fogleman, and Joey Doiron.
While awards are currently
still being finalized, the
champion will once again
receive a one-of-a-kind
championship trophy
featuring the American Bald
Eagle. Additional awards
will be announced at a later
date.
with our presence across the
Eastern Seaboard and Canada,
we felt the time was right
to crown Super Late Model
racing's only National
champion," said PASS
President Tom Mayberry.
"This is probably the most
diverse schedule we've ever
put together with tracks of
varying sizes and shapes to
compete on. The Oxford 250
continues to be one of the
crown jewels of short track
racing. And, the addition of
Richmond, will put all the
competitors on a neutral
site for the first time. "
The PASS National
Championship Series, along
with the 2018 PASS South
championship season, gets
underway in just one month
with the 13th Annual South
Carolina Clash at Dillon
Motor Speedway in South
Carolina on February 24.
Fans will get to see drivers
from across the spectrum of
short track racing as the
PASS Super Late Models will
race for 200 laps and $6,000
to win and $700 to start,
plus a major event for the
Dillon Motor Speedway
SuperTrucks paying $1000 to
win and a UCAR/FWD race
paying $500 to win as part
of the South Carolina
Clash.
From Dillon
Motor Speedway in February,
the 2018 PASS National
Championship Series will
kick off the New England
racing season and will be
contested again at one of
the fastest tracks in the
country. The PASS Super Late
Models will compete for 75
laps at Thompson Speedway
Motorsports Park in
Connecticut as part of the
annual Icebreaker weekend
April 7-8, along with the
NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour.
The Icebreaker will also
once again double as the
PASS North Super Late Model
championship season opener.
The PASS National
Championship Series will
stay in New England for
perhaps the most legendary
of all short track races.
The 45th Annual Oxford 250
at Maine's Oxford Plains
Speedway on August 26 will
continue a tradition that
started in 1974 and has seen
such winners as Butch
Lindley, Geoff Bodine,
Junior Hanley, Ricky Craven,
Kevin Harvick, and Kyle
Busch. And, with one of the
richest purses in all of
Super Late Model racing, the
Oxford 250 should once again
attract North America's best
drivers, all competing for
the $25,000 winner's share,
plus an additional $25,000
in lap leader money. The
2017 winner, Waterboro, ME's
Curtis Gerry, bested over 60
other drivers to claim over
$30,000 for his first win in
the prestigious race.
The Fall will be busy
with the PASS National
Championship moving South
for the final three events
of the season. The PASS
Super Late Models will
headline the inaugural PASS
Commonwealth Classic at
Richmond Raceway on Saturday
night, October 20. The PASS
Super Late Models will
compete in a 100-lap event
on the famed three-quarter
mile oval, paying $10,000 to
win and $700 to start.
Additionally, Late Model
Stocks will return to
Richmond Raceway for the
first time in a number of
years, competing in a 75 lap
race, paying $7,000 to win
and $700 to start. Both the
Limited Late Models and
Street Stocks will make
their first ever starts at
Richmond Raceway with the
Limiteds racing for 50 laps
and $4000 to win and the
Street Stocks racing for 25
laps and $2000 to win.
The PASS National
Championship Series then
moves to Concord Speedway
for the 16th Annual
North-South Shootout on
Saturday, November 10. PASS
will be the exclusive Super
Late Model tour at Concord
Speedway in 2018, with a
PASS South event scheduled
there for Friday night, May
25. The 2018 North-South
Shootout will again be a
test of man and machine for
125 laps around the
treacherous half-mile
triangular speedway. It will
be a big weekend of racing
that will see the Tour-Type
Modifieds also competing for
125 laps in one of the
biggest races of the season.
Finally, the PASS
National Championship Series
will conclude just one week
later with the 13th Annual
Mason-Dixon Meltdown 200 on
Saturday, November 17 at the
legendary Hickory Motor
Speedway. The 200 lap
contest will once again
crown both the PASS National
Championship Series and PASS
South Super Late Model
champions.
The Pro
All Stars Series is
recognized as North
America's premier
sanctioning body for asphalt
Super Late Models and boasts
such marquee events as PASS
South's Easter Bunny 150 at
the historic Hickory Motor
Speedway and the legendary
Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains
Speedway, and new for 2018,
the inaugural Commonwealth
Classic at Richmond Raceway.

CHARLOTTE, NC
(December 22) - Pro All
Stars Series (PASS)
officials announced several
dates today for the 2018
PASS South Super Late Model
schedule. The South's
original and longest running
Super Late Model tour will
be highlighted in 2018 by
beginning the season with
two of the biggest and most
prestigious races in the
region. With seven dates
confirmed, the PASS South
Super Late Models will
compete on at least five
different venues over the
course of the 2018 season,
with one date left to
confirm and up to two more
events possibly to be
announced by mid-January.
"We believe this
schedule should work well
for our racers in and
outside the southeast region
in 2018," said PASS
President Tom Mayberry. "We
realize everyone is busy and
we have worked very hard to
avoid any conflicts with
other series or track
schedules. We're very
appreciative for all of our
enthusiastic track owners
that have partnered with us
again for our 13th season of
racing in the South. We've
got several big things on
the burner for next year and
are excited for the
possibilities."
The
2018 season will start on,
February 23-24, at Dillon
Motor Speedway with the 13th
Annual South Carolina Clash.
After a very competitive
race last year, the 200 lap
event will once again be the
first contest of the 2018
PASS National Championship
Series, asphalt Super Late
Model racing's only true
national championship.
The PASS South Super
Late Models will then move
to the Tarheel State for the
13th Annual Easter Bunny 150
at Hickory Motor Speedway on
Saturday, March 31. Hickory,
the longest tenured track on
the PASS South circuit
dating back to 2006, will
once again hold the biggest
and most traditional Super
Late Model race in the
Carolinas. As always, the
Easter Bunny 150 is expected
to attract some of the top
short track racers in the
country for one of the most
sought after trophies in the
sport.
In May, the
series will move to one of
the fastest and most unique
tracks in the country. PASS
will expand its relationship
with Concord Speedway by
again hosting the Old Glory
125 on Friday night, May 25
as part of the big Memorial
Day weekend festivities in
the Charlotte area. The
famed triangular half-mile,
known for its legendary Big
10 Series, will once again
also see the PASS South
Super Late Models as part of
the 16th Annual North-South
Shootout on November 9-10.
Additionally, PASS will be
the exclusive sanctioning
body for Super Late Models
at Concord Speedway in 2018.
The PASS South Super
Late Models will also return
to two of the Mid-Atlantic's
most exciting speedways in
2018 with a couple of 150
lappers. Orange County
Speedway will host the
series on Saturday night,
July, 21 before the tour
moves to South Boston
Speedway on Saturday night,
August 11 for a twin bill
with the NASCAR Late Model
Stocks.
PASS will
close out the 2018 season by
crowning the series champion
at the 13th Annual
Mason-Dixon MegaMeltdown 200
at Hickory Motor Speedway on
Saturday, November 17. Final
confirmation for any other
dates will be released by
January 20. Additional
information on support
divisions will also be
announced in the near
future.
Look for the
release of the 2018 schedule
for the PASS North Super
Late Models and the
remainder of the PASS
National Championship Series
dates to be released in the
near future.
And,
don't forget, the biggest
short track race on asphalt,
the 45th Annual Oxford 250
at Oxford Plains Speedway in
Maine will take place August
24-26, 2018, paying $25,000
to the winner plus
additional lap leader bonus
money. Curtis Gerry, the
2017 Oxford 250 winner, took
home over $30,000 for his
triumph in this year's
event.
The Pro All
