Propels Brandon Setzer
To $15,000 PASS Win At
Hickory |
HICKORY, NC (November 18) -
Hometown favorite Brandon
Setzer took the lead after
contact with Garrett Hall
coming to the white flag to
go on and win the
Mason-Dixon MegMeltdown 300
for the Pro All Star Series
(PASS) Super Late Models
Saturday afternoon at
Hickory Motor Speedway.
Setzer's third PASS Super
Late Model win was the
biggest of his career as he
took home the $15,000
winner's prize.
"He
[Hall] had the best car, I
hate it ended like that, but
the lapped car just screwed
him up," said Setzer, driver
of the Romeo Guest
Construction/The Jewelry
Exchange Ford #6. "As soon
as he [Hall] went to the
outside I saw the lapped car
waving to the inside and I
said, 'Oh, I've got a hole,'
I filled the hole, he tried
to come back down, but at
that point I couldn't back
out. Man, this means the
world to me. I could've won
the Daytona 500 and not be
this happy."

Concord's North-South
Shootout |
MIDLAND, NC
(November 4) - Matt Craig
all but locked up his second
straight Pro All Stars
Series (PASS) South Super
Late Model championship by
claiming his sixth win of
the season Saturday
afternoon in the North-South
Shootout at Concord
Speedway. Craig's seventh
career PASS South win was
his first at Concord
Speedway, but not the first
for his family-owned team at
the track, where they have
also gone to victory lane in
the past with drivers like
Rodney Childers, Jeff Fultz,
and Clay Rogers.
"This track means so much to
my family, we've always had
success here, it was a
little bit bumpy for me the
first few times out here,
but we've finally got it
conquered and figured it out
this time," said Craig,
driver of the C&C Boilers
Sales & Service Chevrolet
#54. "We've had a phenomenal
year and we've been doing so
good. We've tested and
really done our homework and
I'm just the lucky one that
gets to drive them."

I was starting to think we
would never get a Super win
here, but I can't thank
these boys enough because we
were really struggling in
practice ," said Fogleman,
driver of the Solid Rock
Carriers/Fogleman Soils Ford

Craig Outlasts
Rain & Competition for
4th PASS Win at Southern
National |
LUCAMA, NC (July 29)
- Matt Craig survived a 52
minute rain delay and a late
restart to score his fourth
Pro All Stars Series (PASS)
South Super Late Model win
of the season Saturday night
at Southern National
Motorsports Park. In doing
so, Craig, along with fellow
podium finishers Dave
Farrington, Jr. and Trevor
Sanborn, locked up
guaranteed starting
positions for November's
Mason-Dixon MegaMeltdown 300
at Hickory Motor Speedway,
which will pay at least
$15,000 to the winner.
"We took off on that one
restart after the rain to
get a good lead and get to
halfway, but we weren't
really too worried about it,
we knew the radar looked
good," said Craig, driving
the family-owned C&C Boilers
Chevrolet #54. "What makes
it easier for me are the
guys that work on the car
every week. I can't thank
them and my dad enough for
setting it up. We really
want to get to the big races
at the end of the year, the
Oxford 250 and the
MegaMeltdown. These wins
mean a lot, but now we want
the big ones."

Win of Season at Caraway |
SOPHIA, NC (May 5) -
Matt Craig edged out rookie
Tanner Thorson Friday night
to score his third Pro All
Stars Series (PASS) South
Super Late Model win of the
season in the Caraway 125.
Craig's second straight PASS
South win at Caraway
Speedway lengthens his point
lead as he seeks to become
the first driver to ever win
back-to-back titles in the
series' 12 year history.
"We had to run hard the
whole race, Tate [Fogleman]
was really good, the 55
[Thorson] was really good,
but none of these races are
ever easy to win," said
Craig, driving the
family-owned C&C Boilers
Chevrolet #54. "I can't
thank the guys enough for
all the time they take to
work on these cars, taking
time off from work and
family to be here at the
track every weekend. I don't
know how far that horseshoe
is up in my butt right now,
but I like it."

Peltier Edges Rowe For
4th Easter Bunny 150 Triumph
At Hickory Motor Speedway |
HICKORY, NC (April 15) -
Preston Peltier survived a three lap
scramble to the checkered flag to
edge out Ben Rowe for his fourth
Easter Bunny 150 win Saturday night
at Hickory Motor Speedway. Peltier's
seventh win at Hickory and 15th
overall Pro All Stars Series (PASS)
Super Late Model win ended a
two-year winless drought dating back
to the 2015 Easter Bunny 150.
"Three to go when that last
caution came out, I thought, oh man,
here we go again," said Peltier,
driver of the Roger Newton Concrete
Finishing Chevrolet #33. "My tires
really weren't the best there at the
end, but I've got to thank Ben
[Rowe] because he really could have
used me up. It's funny how life
works out and right now, life's
pretty good."

ROUGEMONT, NC (March
25) - Matt Craig came out on
top of a controversial last
lap battle that saw both he
and third finisher Preston
Peltier slap the wall to win
the 10th Running of the
Orange Blossom Special on
Saturday night at Orange
County Speedway. Craig's
second straight Pro All
Stars Series (PASS) South
Super Late Model win also
guarantees him a starting
spot in the 44th Annual
Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains
Speedway in Maine.
"Our car was really good,
but we got really loose when
it was time to go," said
Craig, driver of the C&C
Boilers Sales & Service
Chevrolet #54. "I've raced
with Preston [Peltier] for a
long time and I knew if I
would have stayed on the
outside on the last lap, it
wouldn't have been any
different than what I did. I
don't feel bad about it.
He's raced me dirty and I've
raced him dirty, that's how
we get along."

PASS South Victory |
LUCAMA, NC (March 4)
- Defending Pro All Stars
Series (PASS) South Super
Late Model champion, Matt
Craig captured the lead from
Spencer Davis on lap 16 and
never looked back en route
to his second career series
win in the Dogwood 150
Saturday afternoon at
Southern National
Motorsports Park. Following
his win, Craig laid down a
challenge amidst a furious
chassis builder battle going
on in the South's oldest
Super Late Model tour.
"This was just an
awesome car and I can't
thank my crew enough for all
the hard work they put in to
it," said Craig, driver of
the C&C Boilers Sales &
Service Chevrolet.
"Everybody thinks the Furys
are the best, but they just
got waxed by a brand new
Hamke. We struggled a bit at
Dillon, but we've got it
figured out. He [Noles] got
us on a restart, but I laid
the hammer down off two and
cruised from there."

Irvan Makes Late
Charge to Claim PASS
Winter Meltdown at Dillon |
DILLON, SC (February
4) - Third-generation racer
Jared Irvan was able to move
past leader Christian Eckes
following a late-race
restart and led the rest of
the way to win the Pro All
Stars Series (PASS) Super
Late Model national season
opener Saturday afternoon at
Dillon Motor Speedway.
Irvan's win in the Winter
Meltdown 200 was his first
since capturing the
checkered flag at Anderson
Motor Speedway back in 2015.
"We both spun the tires
a little bit on that last
restart and ended up going
into turn one too fast and I
actually thought I went in
too high, but he [Eckes] did
too and I was able to come
off with the lead," said
Irvan. "This is really big
for our momentum for the
rest of the year and
hopefully we can get a
little more sponsorship to
help us through the rest of
the year." |
