MODS TOW MONEY for SEEKONK
from BILL DIXON REBAR &
PREFAB |
Naples ME -
Officials at the Pro All
Stars Series announced today
that Bill Dixon Rebar and
Prefab has added $100 in tow
money for every PASS MOD
that makes the trip to
Seekonk Speedway this coming
Wednesday the 28th.
"I just wanted to do
something to help out the
teams on the tour that have
committed to making that
trip," said Billy Dixon.
"Hopefully this will help
cover some of the expenses
in getting there and putting
on a good show. I just want
to help."
The PASS
MODS tour is making its
inaugural start at the .333
mile oval in Seekonk
Massachusetts as a part of
the Bay State Summer Classic
as a part of their 14 race
2021 schedule.
"The
MODS have grown into a great
touring division over the
last few years for the young
up and comers along with the
veteran racer," said PASS
President Tom Mayberry. "We
are starting to see interest
in the division from racers
and sponsors. We are hoping
to keep this momentum
going."
Pits open at
2:00 PM with heats beginning
at 6:30 PM. The PASS MODS
will participate in a 50 lap
contest.

MARQUEE EVENT: Legends Cars
Set
For $1,000 To Win Race on
Big Bay State Classic July
28 Stage
$10,000 to Win for the PASS
SLMs |
By Souza Media/Kyle
Souza
SEEKONK, Mass.
-- Although it will not be a
Seekonk Speedway points
race, the INEX Legends Cars
are set for a mid-week
showdown at Seekonk next
Wednesday, July 28, as part
of the inaugural Bay State
Classic.
While the
Pro All Star Series (PASS)
and PASS Modifieds invade
Seekonk for their own
special events, which
includes a 150-lap, $10,000
to win Pro Stock special,
the Legends Cars will act as
a support division -- but
they might steal the show in
their 30-lap feature.
There will be a $1,000
to win prize on the line,
with a total purse of $3,000
spread throughout the field.
Second place will pay $350,
while third is $250, and the
purse continues throughout
the field. The top Seekonk
Speedway Legends Cars
drivers that run on Fast
Friday are planning to
compete, including
three-time season winner
Luke LeBrun, Josh Parsons,
Mason Tessier and more.
"I'm always excited for
something that is switched
up a bit compared to normal
racing," Legends Cars driver
Josh Parsons said. "I love
racing out there and seeing
new fans in the stands
compared to what we normally
have on a Friday night. I
can't wait to put on a show
for the fans. We're going to
go out there, race hard, and
clean, and try to get that
big check."
The
30-lap Legends Cars featured
is slated to be the first
race of the night.
The Pro All Star Series 150,
worth $10,000 to Win,
is going to pin some of
Seekonk's top Pro Stock
talent from the weekly side
against countless invading
drivers. The top Super Late
Model competitors from
across the Northeast are
expected to chase the big
prize. Names like Ben Rowe,
DJ Shaw, Kate Re and Joey
Doiron are set to battle
seven-time track champion
Dave Darling, Tom Scully
Jr., Mike Brightman, Ryan
Kuhn, Jake Johnson, Derek
Gluchacki and more. The race
is surely going to be one of
the best in recent memory,
and fans are not going to
want to miss it, especially
with that money up for
grabs.
The PASS Modifieds
have increasingly become one
of the region's most
competitive divisions, as
they are affordable, and
often draw a large car
count. In their most recent
event at Oxford Plains
Speedway, the race came down
to the final few inches,
with iRacing standout Max
Cookson taking the win over
Jimmy Emerson and Brandon
Varney. The race had nearly
30 cars show up to the Maine
oval, and many are expected
to travel to Seekonk for
this mid-week event.
The pits will open on race
day at 2 p.m., with front
grandstand gates opening to
the public at 4 p.m., just
in time for the first
practice of the day.
Qualifying heat races will
begin at 6:30 p.m. Advance
tickets are available at
www.seekonktickets.net
and will also be available
at the track. Tickets are
$30 for adults, children
6-12 are $10 and kids 5 and
under are free. Pit passes
are $40 per person, and also
available to the general
public if they wish to get
behind the scenes and check
out the stars and cars of
the event.

Speedway, visit
