Memorial Dinner for Garry Bellefleur Is Set For June 5th
Supper to Be Held in His Hometown of Stetson, Maine

By Mike Twist

A charity event for the late PASS North driver Gary Bellefleur has been scheduled for June 5th in his hometown of Stetson, Maine. The Gary Bellefleur Memorial Supper will benefit a memorial fund to assist his family and honor his memory. The dinner will take place on Saturday, June 5th from 4-7pm at the Stetson Union Church. Donations will be accepted at the door.

The supper will feature hot dogs and beans along with cole slaw provided by Maine racing legend Ralph Nason. Deserts will also be a part of the fare. It is being organized by PASS North driver and team owner Scott Mulkern with the help of PASS North driver Gary Smith and PASS Sportsman driver Duane Seekins.

Bellefleur passed away late last month after a shop accident while he was preparing his racecar for the 2010 PASS North season. He had strong ties to the Stetson community, where he served as a Town Selectman and previously headed the Sebasticook Valley Chamber of Commerce. He is survived by his wife Melodie, son Gary and daughter Cassie.

Anyone who wishes to make a donation that cannot attend the supper can mail a donation to:

The Pro All Stars Series might be known as the home of the Rowes and the Clarks after drivers with those surnames have won all but one of the PASS North championships in series history, but it has been because of men like Gary Bellefleur that the series has survived and prospered.  FULL STORY HERE
