PASS North Championship
Oxford, ME -- Curtis Gerry of Waterboro nailed down his second PASS Super Late Model win this season at Oxford Plains Speedway Saturday afternoon, while his closest on-track rival, Travis Benjamin of Belfast, riding a runner-up finish to nail down his second career PASS North championship.

Gerry, who added his name to the lists of Legends by winning the 44th Annual Oxford 250 back in August, had the best season of his career hot on the heels of what was previously his best year ever in 2016.

The Saco House of Pizza #7 and Gerry methodically cruised into contention from 12th starting position as Ben Rowe, Tracy Gordon, Dave Farrington and Joey Doiron took turns setting the race pace, with Brandon Barker also a notable early factor.

Derek Griffith
North Woodstock, NH -- Derek Griffith of Hudson, New Hampshire raced to his second Pro All Stars Series North Super Late Model victory of the season Saturday night in the 150-lap event topping the racing car at White Mountain Motorsports Park in North Woodstock, New Hampshire.

To earn this trip to the winners' circle Griffith needed to take command of the race from Ben Rowe, the reigning PASS Super Late Model National Champion who is no stranger to victory lane at the high-banked, quarter-mile oval.

Griffith's LCM Motorsports #12 was chased under the checkered flag by Travis Benjamin of Morrill, Maine. Benjamin vaulted into the PASS North Super Late Model championship points lead with his runner-up finish aboard the Petit Motorsports #7.

Spectacular PASS Super Late Model
Score for Hometown Racer Garrett Hall
at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway
Scarborough, Maine - Garrett Hall of Scarborough prevailed in spectacular fashion Sunday afternoon in Pro All Stars Series Super Late Model competition, just beating out nine-time PASS champion Ben Rowe of Turner in a wild finish that saw Hall's car need a tow to Beech Ridge Motor Speedway victory lane.

Hall, who was seeming unbeatable on long green flag runs during the second half of the 150-lap race, saw a trio of late-race restarts put both Rowe and the reigning PASS Super Late Model champion, DJ Shaw of Center Conway, New Hampshire, in contention.

Rowe took an aggressive run on the inside of Hall on the final lap and wheels were in the air as Hall's defense of the lead was good enough by a margin of .012-seconds. It was the first Pro All Stars Series victory of the season for Hall and the Risbarra Construction / Blackpoint Motorsports 94. He won three races on the tour last year.

Scores $35,000.00 PLUS
Oxford, ME -- Curtis Gerry of Waterboro dominated when go time came, scoring the biggest racing victory of his career Sunday in the 44th annual Oxford 250 at Maine's Oxford Plains Speedway. With lap leader bonuses included, Gerry's win should be worth over $35,000.

Gerry, who lined up 21st on the starting grid, needed 123 laps to chase down early race leader Cassius Clark in Rollie MacDonald's 13. A round of pit stops saw Scott McDaniel earn some lap leader bonus cash for 26 laps before Gerry took command for good with just over 50 laps to go.

Manchseter's Reid Lanpher made a late charge into second position, claiming runner-up honors for the second time in the Oxford 250. Cassius Clark flat-footed the King 13 to a third-place finish, making a five-figure lap leader bonus check to add to the trophy payoff.

Lee, NH - Glen Luce of Turner, Maine pulled away from the field in the late stages of Friday night's Pro All Stars Series North Super Late Model 150-lapper at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, New Hampshire to post his second win on the touring series this season.

Luce started from 14th position, patiently making steady progress through the field as Scarborough, Maine's Garrett Hall set the pace for the first sixty laps. Six-time PASS North champion Johnny Clark took over and looked like a possible winner before Luce and 12th-place starter Travis Benjamin moved into contention with about 30 laps to go.

Victory for Travis Benjamin

Oxford, Maine – Travis Benjamin nailed down his second consecutive Pro All Stars Series North Super Late Model victory Sunday night at Oxford Plains Speedway.

Benjamin, in the Petit Motorsports 7, needed most of the race distance to mount a challenge to Cassius Clark of Farmington, who dominated most of the race driving the Nova Scotia-based King Racing entry.  Benjamin moved alongside Clark for a late-race restart and was able to prevail from the outside groove.

Glen Luce of Turner also got by Clark in the waning laps to earn a second-place finish after a couple of disappointing weeks saw him ousted from the series championship lead.  Clark ended up with a third-place finish and some optimism about returning with the car for the 44th Oxford 250 coming up on Sunday, August 27.

Late Model Race at Star Speedway
Epping, NH - Travis Benjamin of Morrill, Maine nailed down his first Pro All Stars Series victory of this season with a dominant performance in Saturday night's Make-A-Wish 150 at Star Speedway in Epping, New Hampshire.

After swapping the early lead with six-time PASS North champion Johnny Clark in the opening laps, Benjamin pulled away from the pack, leading by almost four seconds by the time eventual runner-up Ben Rowe of Turner, Maine made it to second position.

Benjamin, whose Petit Motorsports #7 car has been amazing on long runs this season though late cautions have foiled his attempts to claim victory, took less than 35 minutes to complete this caution free, green-to-checkered run in his Associated Grocers of Maine-sponsored ride.

Streak for Joey Pole, Jr.
Scarborough, Maine - Joey Pole, Jr. of Hudson, New Hampshire outgunned reigning Pro All Stars Series Super Late Model National Champion Ben Rowe of Turner, Maine on a pair of late-race restarts to claim victory in the PASS 150 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine on Saturday night.

After taking the lead on the 105th lap restart, Pole held off the current track champion of the oval they were racing on, Curtis Gerry of Waterboro, and a determined Mike Hopkins of Hermon to seal the deal. For Pole it was his first win of the season after winning three times on the PASS North trail last year, snapping a bad luck spell this year that has seen him fail to finish at least four races he was leading or had led due to equipment failure.

Gerry, the current NASCAR track champion, gave Pole a stout challenge in the closing stages of the race after working his way into contention from 19th starting position. Third-place finisher Hopkins, likewise, passed plenty of top-notch racers after starting from 14th position.

DJ SHAW WINS PASS OPEN
AT OXFORD PLAINS SPEEDWAY
Oxford, Maine -- Reigning Pro All Stars Series North Champion DJ Shaw of Center Conway, New Hampshire claimed victory, and a preferred starting position in the upcoming Oxford 250 National Championship event, in the 100-lap 'Open' Super Late Model main event Sunday night at Oxford Plains Speedway.

The Open, a non-points race awarding provisional starting spots to the rich annual Oxford 250 classic to five drivers in a final chance to conditionally lock into the field before the eve of the Super Late Model classic, and the boys were racing hard throughout the short, 100-lap sprint to the checkered flag.

Oxford's Dennis Spencer, Jr. set the pace in the opening laps, but troubles sidelined him not long after he yielded the lead to Tracy Gordon of Strong. Gordon led on a couple of occasions and actually led more laps than anyone in the race while swapping the top spot with reigning Oxford 250 champion Wayne Helliwell, Jr. of Dover, New Hampshire.

PASS Super Late Model Win for
Derek Griffith in Hight Chevrolet 150
at Speedway 95
Hermon, Maine - Derek Griffith of Hudson, New Hampshire nailed down the Pro All Stars Series Super Late Model victory Sunday afternoon in the Hight Chevrolet Buick GMC 150 at Speedway 95 in Hermon, Maine.

Griffith and his LCM Motorsports 12 car pulled away from the pack in the closing laps after an unusually-competitive battle saw five different drivers lead - many on more than one occasion - over the first 100 circuits of the tricky, 1/3-mile oval track.

When the time came to seal the victory, Griffith, who started third, had plenty of car and rubber left to fend off all challenges and earn that first PASS Super Late Model triumph.

Former PASS champion Travis Benjamin of Morrill gave Griffith his toughest test in the waning laps, earning runner-up honors in the Belfast Variety 7, and staying close to the championship points leaders in a tight championship battle. Scarborough's Garrett Hall took a couple of turns leading the Hight 150 before eventually crossing the line in third position in his NAPA-sponsored 94.

DJ Shaw of Center Conway, New Hampshire, the reigning PASS North Super Late Model champion, was the only driver among the top six finishers who did not lead a lap. Shaw started 12th in the Precision JLM 60 and ended up in fourth position. Local, self-sponsored landscaper and paver Mike Hopkins of Hermon raced hard with the leaders, led the race on several occasions and claimed a hard-earned, fifth-place finish.

Cassius Clark of Farmington also set the pace aboard the Hight 77, finishing up in sixth position. Dave Farrington of Jay, Glen Luce of Turner and Ellsworth's Andy Saunders were the last three cars on the lead lap, in seventh through ninth finishing positions, respectively. Frankfort's Bobby Seger rounded out the top ten.

Joey Doiron caps off fabulous

Pro All Stars Series score
at Oxford Plains Speedway
Oxford, Maine - Joey Doiron of Berwick outgunned Joey Polewarczyk of Hudson, New Hampshire Sunday afternoon in the 150-lap Pro All Stars Series North Super Late Model race, topping the card at Oxford Plains Speedway.

Doiron, who also won a Super Late Model race the previous evening at his current home track, swapped the race lead with Polewarczyk on five occasions during the event. Polewarczyk had looked dominant through most of the distance, leading all but 11 of the first 140 laps.

Tire conservation by Doiron played a huge role in the victory, with the eventual winner aided by a late-race restart that erased a three-second advantage held by Polewarczyk. Doiron led the final ten circuits to post the win, and earned a guaranteed starting spot in the rich, upcoming Oxford 250, scheduled for Sunday, August 27.

Barre, VT - DJ Shaw of Center Conway, New Hampshire nailed down his first Pro All Stars Series North Super Late Model victory of the season down in dominant fashion, leading all but two laps in Sunday's Mekkelsen Memorial Day Classic at Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, Vermont.

Shaw, the defending PASS North Super Late Model champion, won his heat race while turning in a lap of 11.571-seconds, unofficially the fastest lap recorded in competition at the newly-paved, 57-year-old, 1/4-mile oval track. Shaw's Precision JLM 60 was also quickest in the main event, a couple of tenths off his heat race at the track temperatures rose.

Barre's own Nick Sweet, a two-time Late Model 'King of The Road' at 'The Nation's Site of Excitement,' provided Shaw's best challenge, even leading a couple of laps racing side-by-side with Shaw from the outside groove. Sweet's race ended early with a trip into the Styrofoam-protected barrier off turns three and four.

Regarding Official Finish of PASS 300 Event
The finish of the PASS 300 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway event on 4/29 has been adjusted and is now official.

The #7 car of Curtis Gerry had finished 2nd. There were concerns about the motor in the car being legal. He was offered the opportunity by PASS Tech to have the engine torn down. Curtis Gerry chose not to go through the tear down procedure. As per PASS rules this resulted in an automatic disqualification from the event.

WIN FOR REID LANPHER
Scarborough, Maine - Reid Lanpher of Manchester backed up a career-first Pro All Stars Series victory the previous week at Oxford Plains Speedway with a dominant performance in Saturday's 300-lap PASS National Championship Series Super Late Model race at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine.

Lanpher was chased across the finish line by the reigning Pro Series champion at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway, Curtis Gerry of Waterboro, who passed a fleet of racecars after a spin relegated him to the back of the pack midway through the marathon. Derek Ramstrom of West Boylston, Massachusetts claimed third-place honors, in front of Belfast racer Travis Benjamin and Turner's Glen Luce.

Lanpher, a former NASCAR Pro Series track champion at Beech Ridge, started the race from 11th position and patiently worked his way into contention, occasionally challenging three-time 2016 PASS Super Late Model winner Garrett Hall of Scarborough, who led the first 109 laps before Lanpher made his move to the front during an extended green flag run that went well past the halfway point when a caution flag sent just about the entire field to pit road for tires.

REID LANPHER WINS PASS
SPEEDWAY HOMES 150 at OPS
Oxford, Maine - Reid Lanpher of Manchester earned a first-ever Pro All Stars Series Super Late Model win Sunday afternoon in the Speedway Homes 150 at Oxford Plains Speedway.

Lanpher won the first heat race to earn the first starting position in the lid lifter at the historic oval track on State Route 26, but it was no easy romp to the winner's circle for the young racer, who swapped the lead with both Turner's Glen Luce and Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. of Hudson, New Hampshire after a couple of restarts.

Polewarczyk, a multi-race PASS winner in part-time competition the previous season, looked strong once in front of the field, but about ten laps past the event's halfway point, Polewarczyk's race came to a smoky end with severe mechanical difficulties. Lanpher reclaimed the lead and battled most of the rest of the distance with Luce, the 2015 Oxford 250 champion.
