Oct. 20 2012 PASS CHAMPIONS Super Late Models: Travis Benjamin PASS MODS: Andy Shaw SPORTSMAN: Carey Martin THERIAULT WINS THE BATTLE, BENJAMIN WINS THE WAR IN PASS SEASON FINALE AT OXFORD PLAINS SPEEDWAY The PASS North finale got a late start due to Mother Nature’s continuous showers this past Saturday morning, but it was clear sailing once the rains stopped and the fans were treated to a tremendous racing card at the newly purchased Oxford Plains Speedway. Winners on the day included Austin Theriault, Dana Reed, Carey Martin, Corey Morgan and Shawn Buffington. Saturday September 22nd WMMP SLM Top Three - L to R: Travis Benjamin #17, 2nd; Winner Derek Ramstrom #35; & Scott Dragon #10, 3rd. Ramstrom Rolls to PASS North White Mountain Win NORTH WOODSTOCK NH (9/22) Derek Ramstrom won a restart battle with Mike Landry on lap 48 of Saturday night's Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North 150 at White Mountain Motorsports Park and the young veteran stayed out front the rest of the way to capture his second PASS North Super Late Model feature win of 2012. Travis Benjamin chased Ramstrom to the line and Scott Dragon claimed the final spot on the podium. Ben Rowe had a solid day, finishing fourth, and Johnny Clark completed the top five. The race was Ramstroms's fifth career PASS North Super Late Model win. His first win of 2012 came at his home track, Thompson (CT) International Speedway, where he recently captured his third Super Late Model division Championship. Ben Rowe Rules Beech Ridge Scarborough ME (9/16) Ben Rowe took advantage of a lap 281 restart to wrestle the lead away from Joey Doiron and win the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) 300 presented by Southern Maine Motors.com at Scarborough Maine's Beech Ridge Motor Speedway Sunday. The victory was Rowe's first of 2012 and his second in PASS North's richest extra distance event. Doiron hung tough in second and Travis Benjamin finished third. Travis Benjamin raced home in second and Ben Rowe was third. The victory was Shaw's first PASS feature victory since September of 2011 when he checkered at White Mountain Motorsports Park. The Center Conway New Hampshire racer, who builds the race cars he drives for Julio and Rita Miglioli, now has four PASS North career wins. Ramstrom Rumbles to PASS Thompson Win Thompson CT (7/12) Derek Ramstrom inherited the race lead on lap 62 of Thursday night's Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North California Paints 75 at Thompson (CT.) International Speedway and the home track hero kept DJ Shaw and Travis Benjamin in his mirror to the checkers. Thompson regular Mike O'Sullivan raced home fourth and Cassius Clark completed the top five. Ramstrom put himself in position to win early on, racing in the top five at the fastest track that PASS North visits. At the green it looked like Ben Rowe would finally toss that Gorilla off his back, racing past the all Thompson front row of Larry Gelinas and O'Sullivan. The RMR 4 was flying and the three time Thompson PASS winner was able to keep both Gelinas and Ted Christopher at bay. But on lap 47 the dreaded off song sound of a cylinder going south suddenly appeared, drop kicking Rowe through the field until his engine finally gave up the ghost on lap 67. Clark took advantage of the night's second restart to claim the position and the win by a .812 second margin. Rowe was out front for the majority of the night but the defending Canaan race winner had to settle for second. Travis Benjamin kept his streak of top three finishes alive, finishing third and padding his lead in the series point standings. Johnny Clark Three-Peat’s Speedway 660 200 Lapper Geary New Brunswick CA - Johnny Clark took over the lead on lap 101 of Sunday afternoon's PASS North super late model 200 at Speedway 660 to capture his third 200 lap PASS feature in a row at the Geary New Brunswick oval. Travis Benjamin earned the runner up spot and Cassius Clark raced under the checkers third. Kyle DeSouza and Derek Ramstrom completed the top five. The win was Clarks' second of the young PASS North season. The Maine man took the lead from Benjamin at the half way break restart and held the point all the way to lap 200. The second half ran caution free for the final 91 laps.
